Shelby is a designer at Concordia. Her goal is to consistently work towards a greater good at every scale of a project, from materials to communities. During her time at Tulane School of Architecture, she was an active member of the architecture student body through student government, teaching assistant positions, and managing the digital output lab. Her interest in narrative through object-making led her to create sculptural architectural models, while also critically analyzing and engaging with the emotional impact of the built environment.
As a southwest PA native, Shelby spent summers as a tour guide at Fallingwater – the place she discovered as a kid that sparked her interest in design and led her to pursue a career in architecture.
Outside of the office, Shelby spends her time playing with her dog Timmy, doing kitchen experiments, and figuring out new ways to make things.
