Shelby is an architectural designer inspired by narrative through design, the sensory impact of the built environment, biophilia, and playfulness. She believes all design should exemplify joy and justice through systemic change for the greater good. Her collaborative nature leads her to critically analyze how projects can best serve their people through fun and function. From managing complex Revit models to ensure smooth workflow among the production staff to executing project aesthetics through interior architecture, Shelby seeks delight in every part of the design process.

In addition to practice, she is an adjunct lecturer at her alma mater, the Tulane School of Architecture. Shelby resides in a live/work warehouse where she and her partner collaborated to design and fabricate a less-than-200 square foot living space for the resident floor supervisor/dog, Matzo Ball.
