Planning, Community Engagement
Concordia, in partnership with the City of Alexandria, Virginia, designed and led a community engagement process aimed at strengthening the relationship between municipal government and the City’s residents. Concordia held a series of citywide meetings, supported by online engagement, to nurture a healthier relationship between the community and the City. The focus of the process asked residents to envision and design the ideal process through which the City should engage citizens in decision-making. In addition to the meeting process, a series of deliverables will be included: A Principles of Engagement document, a Civic Engagement Framework, and a Citywide Outreach Infrastructure. When finished, these deliverables will serve as tools to be used during future citywide engagement processes.
