The Mississippi Farmhouse Residence is a single family, vacation home located in rural Mississippi. The project includes a renovation to the existing farmhouse as well as an addition that includes a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and an outdoor patio. The design references Louisiana Arts and Crafts vernacular architecture through its generous porch space and deep overhangs, cross ventilation strategies, traditional craftsmanship, and carefully detailed finishes. The addition nestles thoughtfully into the existing farmhouse.
