Concordia is excited to be working with NORDC and the City of New Orleans to renovate the NORDC Pecan Grove Recreation Center in New Orleans East, which has been boarded up since it flooded during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Concordia helped the City of New Orleans and NORDC discover an opportunity to expand the project’s boundaries to include an additional undeveloped and unused area of the property that belonged to HANO. NORDC was able to renegotiate their lease with HANO to include the additional 1.8 acres at no additional cost. We are excited to now be working on incorporating the community’s feedback and ideas into the design for the now 3.63 acre site to include recreational and educational programming for seniors and youth, that celebrates the rich history of the Rosedale community and the Chef Menteur Highway corridor!
