The Eleanor McMain Secondary High School's Auditorium is a 2023 Landmark Historic Preservation Award Winner. During a prior phase, Concordia performed an extensive color study as an interpretation of this original design intent, which was previously implemented at the building's exterior and through the course of this project was then translated to the interior at the auditorium.
The auditorium space has not been in regular use since prior to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Concordia's goal was to reinvigorate the space by honoring its historic flourishes while pushing it forward to be a modern, cutting-edge theatre.
Concordia, with its consulting team, was able to complete the project in time for the 2023 graduating class. Following the pandemic, renovating a large gathering space for people to celebrate the arts and each other is an honor for our team.
